On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Br. Greg Dunn, OP renewed his vows for two years. This past summer Br. Greg was in Houston, Texas participating in a CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) program as a hospital chaplain and living at Holy Rosary Priory.
Br. Greg has completed his third year in formation and beginning this Fall will begin a pastoral year at St. Elizabeth University Parish in Lubbock, Texas. St. Elizabeth University Parish hosts the Catholic campus ministry at Texas Tech University - Raider Catholic. For an overview of the formation program, click here.
Br. Greg is from Fort Worth, Texas, and is one of three children in the Dunn Family. He graduated from Texas A&M University in the spring of 2016 before entering the Novitiate. In college, he found great encouragement in the witness of many fellow students and priests at St. Mary’s Catholic Center who followed Christ with their whole hearts. He was drawn to the Order of Preachers because of the Dominicans he met and how they pray with faith, live in community, study God’s Word, and preach authentically. He enjoys hiking, baseball, and playing other pick-up sports. If you would like to learn some Fightin’ Texas Aggie Yells, feel free to ask him. Also, with a great bit of perseverance, he is a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
