Br. Andrew Martin was born in Houston, Texas, but grew up primarily in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended
Tulane University where he studied Spanish and Biology. It was at Tulane where he met the Dominican Friars and got to know them through the
Catholic Center and the ‘Mission Honduras’ annual mission trip. He was drawn to the Dominican motto of Veritas and the Friars’ dedication to preaching the Gospel. After graduation in 2016, Br. Andrew Martin lived and worked in San Antonio for two years where he got to know the Dominicans more, seeing the life of prayer, study, and community first-hand. He then decided to answer God’s call and apply to the Province. In his free time, Br. Andrew Martin enjoys reading, golfing, exercising, watching movies, and cooking.
