Many of us have tendencies to perfectionism, which tragically lead us into despair because we're "not good enough." St. Paul challenges this presumption head-on: Christ is the one patiently bringing us closer to Him, accompanying us alongside our sins and imperfections.

This was a homily given for the Second Sunday of Advent at the Church of the Incarnation at the 7:00 p.m. Mass.
