Obstacle 1, Crapula (1st Sunday of Advent, 2018)

Every year around the world priests and deacons encourage their people to "prepare their hearts for Christmas."  But rarely do they say how this can be done in an effective way, and many of us get to Christmas day no better off than before.  We may have our minds set on Christmas because we've been thinking about it, but are we any more ready to receive him when he comes into our lives?

Because of this, Tulane Catholic offers a 4 part homily series this Advent on Obstacles to receiving God's grace.  Without having these obstacles removed, we're unable to progress in the spiritual life.
