Anyone new to the extraordinary form of the Mass (including myself), will find many things very different and strange. One of the most notable elements is the detail and precision of the gestures of the priest. Viewed with one paradigm, these liturgical details can help us remember what we easily forget: love God and love neighbor.
In the weeks leading up to the celebration of a low Mass in the Dominican Rite, I will be incorporating catechesis in my homilies about the extraordinary form of the Mass in general and the Dominican Rite in particular.
